Digital Photo Essentials
Digital Photo Essentials is a 3-hour workshop that introduces users to digital photography and photo management. The course is divided into two sessions with a short break between each session.
The first half of the workshop covers the use of digital cameras, from compact point-and-shoot cameras to digital SLRs. During this session, users will learn how to shift away from using the basic automatic settings and will learn to use some of the more manual features of their cameras. Bring your camera and come prepared to have your questions answered.
The second half covers software, specifically Adobe Photoshop Elements. This software offers a powerful digital photo organizer and brings the incredible image editing power of Photoshop to the average user. Learn how to keep your photos organized and categorized in a way that makes sense to you and begin to tap into the image editing power of Photoshop Elements.
You will learn to:
- Use good shooting techniques to take better pictures
- Move beyond the basic features of your camera
- Navigate your camera’s menu system and modify specific settings
- Retrieve pictures from your camera
- Use Photoshop Elements to View and Organize your photos
- Make basic enhancements to your photos to get better prints
Digital Scrapbooking
If you're a scrapbooker, you probably already know that digital scrapbooking is the newest variation of your craft. Photoshop Elements is one of the most popular programs for creating digital scrapbook pages.
